Navigating the Seasons of Life

In the natural, there are four seasons–fall, winter, summer, and spring–each with their own distinct characteristics. Each season requires different preparation and different adjustments in lifestyle.

Like the seasons of the year, life changes frequently as well and it’s important we are aware of what adjustments need to be made so we can make the most out of each season.

It is important to remember all seasons of life until eternal life are part of living out God’s plans for our lives. In Ecclesiates 3:1 it tells us For every thing there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven (ESV).

What season are you in now? Recognize it is God’s appointed time for you. Resolve to live within it and live it with purpose and peace. Learn to see the beauty in it all. Allow your current season of life to inspire your adaptability, acceptance, and appreciation. God acknowledges we may experience seasons of great abundance or great loss. We can experience great joy or great gain. The beautiful thing of it all is this–God can use everything we experience and make it beautiful (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

No matter what season you are in, remember God is with you. He loves you and everything you experience is meant to grow you and help advance the kingdom. Cling tight to Him as there is a season for everything.

Repeat this aloud–“It happened for me, NOT to me. Nothing will be wasted and all things will work together for my good because I love God and He loves me…”
