Do you REALLY want what you say you want?

In my line of work, I’m constantly around big-dreamers, high-achievers, and those striving to get there. There are some shared tendencies and behaviors among this group of the elite–they set goals, they surround themselves with other successful people, and they are committed to continuous growth and development, among other things.

The one thing that sets this group of people apart from others is their ability to take massive action–REGARDLESS of their circumstances. They do not allow their struggles to keep them stuck and they’re always looking for ways to “make it happen”…

So my question to you is, are you committed or simply interested in achieving your goals and dreams?

You see when you’re simply interested, you will make excuses and only take action when it is convenient. On the other hand, when you are TRULY committed you will do whatever it takes and become who you need to be. If there is one thing I have learned on this journey of being committed is that when you are committed the how, what, and who you need will show up!!!

Here are a few other signs to know that you are committed to success:

  1. You make decisions quickly and are slow to change your mind or give up
  2. Success is not optional; there is no Plan B
  3. You have written plans, goals and criteria
  4. You take action EVERYDAY to advance your cause
  5. You have the maturity to focus on your strengths and the courage to ask for help on your challenges

Take inventory. Are there areas of your business or life that you are more interested rather than committed? You are not alone. It is a natural part of forward movement. The important thing is to get support and guidance where you know you need it so your obstacles become more like speed bumps than road blocks.
